Edge-Wound Ribbon Bayonet Elements



Applications:
Edge-wound ribbon bayonet-style heating elements provide more kilowatts for a given length and diameter. They often are installed in furnaces and ovens originally equipped with rod heating elements.

Furnace Type:
Roller hearth furnaces, pit furnaces, batch furnaces, low temperature aluminum tempering furnaces, and high temperature exothermic gas generators.

Material Options:
Nickel/chrome

Temperature Range:
Up to 1950° F (1050° C).

Power Rating:
4 to 65 kW per element.

Ribbon Heating Elements


Applications:
Ribbon heating elements are used where higher watts/sq. in. are required. Operations performed include annealing, hardening, normalizing, tempering, sintering, stress relieving, curing, paint baking, drying, brazing, nitriding, carburizing, carbonitriding, aging, and solution treating.

Furnace Type:
Bell, batch, conveyor, rotary hearth, pusher, box draw, car bottom, mesh belt, pit, and vacuum furnaces, and industrial ovens and gas generators.

Material Options:
Nickel/chrome, iron/chrome/aluminum

Temperature Range:
200° F to 2370° F (93° C to 1300° C).

Power Rating:
As required.

Sizes:
0.02 in. x 1/4 in. to 0.187 in. x 4 in. (0.5 mm x 6.35 mm to 4.75 mm x 101.6 mm).
